Most celebrities live much longer than the rest of us. Why is that? Do they just have better genes? Of course not. It’s science.

There are 3 key reasons celebs live for so long, and here’s the science behind why.

You don’t have to be a celebrity to live as long as one! Follow these three proven celeb secrets straight from the foremost anti-aging experts in the field.

Reason #1: PREVENTION

Celebs are not all alike, but one thing that unites them all is the need to be healthy. If they’re sick or under the weather, they can’t make money. Their whole livelihood depends on them being “on” at all times.

For the rest of us, life is different. We can get through our illnesses without losing millions a day or getting public attention.

If you’re a celebrity, stepping out of the spotlight isn’t an option.

That’s why so many celebrities focus on prevention.

The old adage “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” is true. If you can get ahead of problems before they strike, you have a better chance of beating them.

PREVENTION TIPS:

Eat a healthy diet.

Think about problems like high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes BEFORE they strike. By getting ahead of them, you will live longer. Focus on getting all of the wonderful nutrients your body needs to stay healthy for life.

Get Toxins Out

Example: It used to be common to see Hollywood stars smoking. That has changed in recent decades. The reason is simple: PREVENTION matters.

Try to avoid exposure to the known causes of common diseases and age accelerators.

Skin Protection

Skin cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in America today. Stars swear by their sunscreen, and it’s not just because it keeps their skin looking beautiful and fresh. It reduces their risk of sun-related cancers, something that can keep you around longer.

Reason #2: LIFESTYLE CHANGE

Lifestyle change is hard to accomplish but it can really save your life. Some of the ways you can change your lifestyle, like your diet and exercise, are obvious. But there are other lifestyle changes we can make to prolong our lives that you might not have even thought of.

Studies have shown that low-stress, relaxed lifestyles lead to increased lifespans. Celebs know the value of taking a little “me time.” They have the money to jet off to Bali or spend days at an expensive spa resort.

Sounds nice, but what about the rest of us? How can we achieve the same results without the money?

  • Slow down and rest.

Our culture tells us that we always need to be busy. But, this way of life leads to stress, which is a proven killer. Instead, take time for yourself. Use your vacation days. Don’t bring your work home with you. Enjoy your weekends without worrying about the job. A better life leads to a longer life.

  • Self Care

We tend to think of celebs as self-indulgent, with their personal chefs and personal jets. But they’re doing something right—SELF CARE. We might still have to fly coach and cook our own meals, but we can learn a lesson from them. Taking good care of yourself is essential. Because, if you don’t do it, who will?

Reason #3: MAINTENANCE

Chances are you don’t have millions of bucks like these celebrities do. But, you can still change your life. The question is, how can you sustain it?

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle over the long term is one of the biggest challenges we face in increasing our longevity. It’s much easier to start something than it is to keep it up.

How do celebrities do it? Looking great year after year, decade after decade, seems like a superpower, but it isn’t. It’s about MAINTENANCE.

Here are some celeb tips for maintenance that might help you succeed:

  • Think of the long game.

Because celebs’ careers depend on their health and well-being, they think of the long term. Sometimes, we think of them as temporary. If you look at a healthier lifestyle as a lifelong change, you can lock in those changes that will help you live longer.

  • Invest in your health.

This doesn’t mean you have to be rich to be healthy and live longer. But there is a lesson here, which is that making small investments in your health over time can lead to a longer, happier life. Things like buying healthier foods, investing in your exercise regimen, and making sure you have excellent health care will pay off in added years to your life.
