The Easy Way to Avoid Hard Dieting: How to Never Count Calories Again
Counting calories is a real pain, but you need to lose weight.
So, just like the last time and the time before, you start a diet. You take careful note of how many calories you can consume each day and for each meal. It becomes a big exercise in math—but not logic.
STOP! IT ISN’T WORKING.
Don’t you think it’s time to try something else?
Not only is counting calories a huge bore, it doesn’t make much sense.
Nutrition is complicated. Reducing it to one single number is silly. You can’t put a number value on healthy eating. It’s more complicated than that.
The Problem with Calorie Counting
Here’s an example. A quarter-cup of raisins has the same number of calories as a small bag of chips. Does that mean they’re the same? Of course not! Calories are just one of the many factors involved in whether a food is good for you or not.
If you want to get fit and healthy, you have to eat smarter.
Full-body fitness requires complete nutrition. Rather than just tallying calories, think about how your body works. What does it need to run at its best? It needs more than just any old fuel. You need to consume the RIGHT fuel.
Foods that are full of vitamins and nutrients don’t always fit into old-fashioned fad diets.
Ditch the Calorie Obsession
As soon as you lose the “Dieting Mindset,” you can start to live a fuller, better life.
Eating is natural, and it can be one of the greatest joys of your life. Dieting steals that joy from you. Instead of enjoying ourselves, we feel stressed out and guilty about everything we eat.
This is a very unhealthy way of thinking. When our bodies are receiving the proper nutrition, we achieve a balance that can improve every part of our lives.
When I’m eating right, it shows in the way I look and how I feel about myself.
When I’m just counting calories, I feel like I’m in a contest I can’t win.
By not counting calories, you can improve your whole-body well-being.
A Better Alternative
When we assign arbitrary numbers to what we eat, we miss the point. When you eat, your goal should be to give your body what it needs to be its best.
Want to fight fat and lose the flab? Eat foods like whole grains, nuts, and healthy fats like avocados. Although the calorie count on these foods might be high, studies have shown that they actually help you get into shape.
Eat Smarter
Foods that fill you up, provide a lot of nutrients, and are delicious are your best bet to avoid diet fatigue. You can permanently incorporate these foods into your daily life. Instead of worrying about the calories, think about what you can eat to make your whole body feel better and look better.
You Can’t Fail
Studies show that every time we fail at a diet, we are less and less likely to stick to the next one. Feeling defeated, we go into each new diet thinking, “This one probably won’t work either, but I’ll try it.”
That’s no way to face life. Changes in the way we eat and exercise don’t have to be depressing. In fact, making positive lifestyle changes should feel good! If you stop thinking of your health changes as a diet and start thinking of them as a new lifestyle, you can’t fail.
Stop Feeling Bad!
Positivity is an essential part of your well-being. So, how can you expect to improve yourself when your diet is making you miserable?
The more unpleasant dieting is, the less likely you are to stick with it or gain any of its benefits. That’s why you should stop dieting altogether.
No Dieting?!
That’s right, we want you to quit dieting forever. Instead, it’s time to completely rethink the way you look at food.
For so long, our dieting culture has told us that food is the enemy. Too many of us live in fear of food instead of appreciating it. We are so preoccupied with the way we look that we forget that food can be a joyful part of life.
Changing from a dieting mindset to a total-body wellness can make us happier, healthier people.
How Can I Lose Weight Without Dieting?
Easy! Give your body the nutrients and exercise it needs, and you’ll never need to diet a day in your life.
Getting skinnier and looking fitter will be the natural result of healthy lifestyle changes. You’ll feel better about yourself and ready to take on the world.
What If I Mess Up?
You can’t mess up because IT’S NOT A DIET!
Losing weight and getting in shape is a journey. It’s fine if you lose a little progress now and then. Just pick back up and keep going! That’s the biggest difference between a diet and a healthy lifestyle.
